Congratulations to Troy High senior Omar Atasi and Troy Athens sophomore Anna Holt who were both nominated for a Sutton Foster Award this year for their work in Les Miserables!

Omar and Anna will participate in the Sutton Foster Awards Showcase at the Wharton Center in East Lansing on May 31, competing at the state level with students from 80 other Michigan schools for a place at the national Jimmy Awards in New York City on June 22.

MTI's All Together Now! was a global event celebrating the return of local theatre after the COVID pandemic. It was an opportunity for schools and theatres around the world to locally produce and perform an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI's beloved shows. Athens Theatre Company and Troy Theatre Ensemble staged numbers from musicals including Fiddler on the Roof, Ragtime, Jekyll and Hyde, Rent, Newsies, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Guys and Dolls, and Hairspray.
On Friday May 31st 2013, the Athens Theatre Company and the Troy Theatre Ensemble banded together for a joint performance at the end of the 2012-2013 school year. The show included an array of acts from both schools, ranging from pop covers to original music to contemporary dance to Broadway standards, including a few combined numbers.
